Workshop on climate change advocacy for civil society organizations and vulnerable groups

Ahead of the 28th session of the Conference of Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Women Environmental Programme and Christian Aid in Nigeria, on 28th November 2023, organized a workshop on climate change advocacy for members of the Gender Advocacy Movement for the Environment, other civil society organizations and vulnerable groups.

The workshop served as a preparatory and information meeting for civil society organizations that were to attend COP28. The workshop also served as a platform to discuss strategies to advance efforts to build a climate justice advocacy movement by WEP and Christian Aid.

Organized at Hapag Lloyd House, No 5B, Constitution Avenue, Gaduwa Estate, Abuja, Nigeria, the workshop was part of the activities of the project: Actions to Combat Climate Threats (ACCT) in Nigeria, which is supported through Christian Aid’s Climate Change Adaptation and Sustainable Energy Programme (CCASE).
